Job Description:

Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) is offering 10 six-week internships to educators interested in deepening their expertise with GLOBE and My NASA Data resources. The GLOBE Mission Earth (GME) project supports educators in NASA Earth Science assets, particularly using resources from the GLOBE Program and My NASA Data. The intended outcome is to develop Teacher Leaders for GLOBE Mission Earth and/or My NASA Data who can support other teachers in implementing content by presenting at conferences, conducting professional development, and/or mentoring other teachers.

Interns will Interns will work remotely, thirty hours a week, for six-weeks, with the NASA Langley team for the duration of the 6-week internship.  

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in virtual synchronous training on GLOBE and My NASA Data assets at scheduled times.

  • Provide support for NASA Langley’s involvement with the GLOBE Mission Earth (GME) project.

  • Develop implementation plans.

  • Practice leading sessions on various topics.

  • Preparing to conduct professional development centered on these assets.

Successful applicants will have led students and participated in the GLOBE Mission Earth for at least one year and have the following skills:

  • Data-literate

  • Computer-literate

  • Experience with My NASA Data is a plus
